The AANS Neurosurgery Technology Development Grant
The application of technology to medicine has yielded tremendous advances in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Neurosurgery has benefited greatly from technological advances such as non-invasive imaging techniques, surgical tools like the operating microscope, computer-assisted neuronavigation and technology-based therapeutics like image-guided radiosurgery. The AANS Information Technology Committee would like to empower the young innovative minds in our field to develop technology-related research projects via the 2018 AANS Neurosurgery Technology Development Grant. The grant provides startup funds for student or resident research projects that apply cutting edge technology into neurosurgical training (i.e. 3-D printing, Virtual Reality, personal activity monitoring) or the improvement in neurosurgical patient outcomes. To learn more about the grant, application criteria and deadlines, see further details here.
Applications are due by Monday, Jan. 1, 2018, at 5 p.m.
