AANS Voting Issues

Engagement of AANS Members in nominations for leadership, voting issues and awards is critical to the continued success of the AANS’ mission. Current governance issues are presented on this page.

  

Voting members of the AANS are invited to submit nominations for the 2018 Humanitarian Award by Oct. 16, 2017. The award will be presented at the 86th AANS Annual Scientific Meeting, to be held April 28-May 2, 2018, in New Orleans, LA. The Humanitarian Award honors an AANS member whose activities outside of medicine bring great benefit to society.

The Cushing Award for Technical Excellence and Innovation in Neurosurgery was established in 2013 to honor an AANS member for technical prowess and skill and/or innovation in the development of new procedures which have become part of the arsenal neurosurgeons use to treat disease or trauma. The award will be presented at the 86th AANS Annual Scientific Meeting, to be held April 28-May 2, 2018, in New Orleans, LA.
