The AANS changed the landscape of medical meetings during the 2010 AANS Annual Scientific Meeting in Philadelphia. To support our first meeting conducted via the iPod touch®, the AANS created a variety of content within a mobile meeting application, complete with program guides, floor maps, exhibitor listings and social venues. Building on the success and positive feedback over the past two years, the AANS has expanded its mobile initiatives further by developing a more robust mobile membership app with year-round applicability. We have also made a variety of multimedia content available free on iTunes U and YouTube.
AANS Annual Scientific Meeting Application
The AANS Annual Scientific Meeting App has the latest, most up-to-the-minute information on all of the happenings at the 82nd AANS Annual Scientific Meeting. In addition to program guides, exhibitor listing and social events, users can log in to see scientific posters or figure out a set of presentations they wish to attend by either time or program track. They also have the ability to build and save their own meeting schedules to maximize their time at the event. The app is Web-enabled, allowing cross-platform visibility from any device, including an iPod touch, iPhone, iPad, Blackberry and Android devices, and even your laptop or desktop computer.
