It is a great pleasure to invite you to the 10th Biennial Satellite Tumor Symposium of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS)/Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) Section on Tumors, which will be held April 26-27, 2013 at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside Hotel.

We are excited to host this event conveniently scheduled on the Friday afternoon and Saturday just before the start of the 2013 AANS Annual Scientific Meeting, which takes place April 27-May 1, 2013, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

We have organized a scientific program in which the most recent advances in tumor therapy will be presented, including clinical updates, translational studies, and basic science neuro-oncology research. We look forward to exciting keynote lectures by Eric Holland, MD, PhD, on &Molecular Targeting of Gliomas Using Mouse Models" and by Linda Liau, MD, PhD on "Imaging Paradigms to Characterize Tumor Genetics." In addition, we have organized a comprehensive seminar on the "Multi-disciplinary Management of Meningiomas." Co-sponsored by the Society of Neuro-Oncology (SNO), this seminar will explore all aspects of meningiomas, including pathology and molecular genetics, mouse models, imaging, surgery, radiotherapy, stereotactic radiosurgery, medical therapies, quality of life and clinical trial opportunities. Moreover, exciting evening seminars on the "Latest Advances in Immunotherapy," and "Surgical Adjunct to Optimize Tumor Resection" are planned for Friday night.

A central part of the meeting is the peer-reviewed oral and poster presentations selected from the submitted abstracts. We encourage you to submit your most exciting work related to the therapy and science of tumors of the central and peripheral nervous system. The abstract center is currently open and abstract submissions are being accepted via https://myaans.aans.org/MyAANS.aspx until February 4, 2013.
