General Information
Policies & Procedures
Following is a list of policies and procedures strongly enforced at the XIV World Congress of Neurological Surgery conference.
Admission
Badges are required for admission to the XIV World Congress meeting including scientific sessions, exhibits and social functions. The AANS and WFNS reserve the right to revoke or deny attendance of any registered participant, speaker, exhibitor, news media reporter or photographer of presentations or activities at the XIV World Congress meeting.
Americans with Disabilities Act
The AANS and WFNS wish to take those steps to ensure that no individual with a disability is excluded, denied services, segregated or otherwise treated differently than other individuals because of the absence of auxiliary aids and services. If you require any of the auxiliary aids or services identified in the Americans with Disabilities Act in order to attend any WFNS program, please contact the XIV World Congress Headquarters Office at (800) 566-2267 (International) or (847) 378-0500 (U.S. and Canada).
Children
Children under the age of 18 are not permitted in the Exhibit Hall at any time. Due to the professional nature of the program and limited seating, children are not allowed into scientific presentations.
No Smoking Policy
Smoking is not permitted at any official XIV World Congress event. In addition, the John B.
Hynes Convention Center is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is not permitted in the Center, except for in posted, designated areas.
Recording
Unauthorized recording of the XIV World Congress scientific sessions, breakfast seminars, and practical clinics is strictly prohibited, whether by video, still or digital photography, audio or any other recording or reproduction mechanism. This includes the recording of presentations and supporting audio-visual materials, abstract and poster presentations and supporting materials.
The World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS) reserves the right to all recordings or reproductions of presentations at the XIV World Congress meeting. Check the onsite program guide for information about the availability of videotapes or audiotapes for purchase.
During the XIV World Congress meeting, attendees, vendors, guests and
others may be photographed and videotaped by WFNS vendors in capturing the
event. Some of these photographs or videos may be displayed by the WFNS in
future publications or materials connected with the event. If you do not
wish to have your image displayed by the WFNS, please contact the XIV World
Congress Host in writing at 5550 Meadowbrook Drive, Rolling Meadows, IL 60008-3852.
Please direct correspondence to the XIV World Congress of Neurological Surgery,
