OPENING CEREMONY AND RECEPTION - AUGUST 30, 2009

Visit with friends and colleagues as you enjoy the many flavors and sounds inspired by the heritage of the World Federation and all its participating nations. Held in the timeless setting of Boston’s Symphony Hall, this event will help you create lasting memories for years to come.

Boston’s Symphony Hall is widely regarded as one of the two or three finest concert halls in the world. Designed to help focus sound, the hall is a tribute to the arts. The 16 replicas of Greek and Roman statues are related in some way to music, art or literature. They were placed in the niches as part of an appreciation of the frequently quoted words, "Boston, the Athens of America," written by Bostonian William Tudor in the early 19th century.
