Voting Issues

Vote on Bylaws Amendments

At the Joint Annual Business Meeting of AANS and the American Association of Neurosurgeons, held during the AANS Annual Meeting, four Bylaws Amendments were discussed. In accordance with our Bylaws, voting on the four amendments will now take place. Please read the material on the three links below:

  1. Letter from AANS Executive Director, Thomas A. Marshall

  2. Proposed Bylaws Amendments with a rationale for each

  3. Voting instructions with specific directions

In order to vote on the proposed amendments, you must log in to MyAANS.org
Voting should only take a few minutes of your time.

Voting Members of AANS who have e-mail addresses will not be mailed a paper ballot – your vote must be cast electronically to be counted.

Voting closes at Midnight, July 12, 2008, CST

Pursuant to the notice sent to all AANS Voting Members on April 4, 2008, please be advised that no additional nominees for the position of 2008-09 AANS President-Elect were submitted by the deadline of May 30, 2008. Therefore, Troy M. Tippett, MD has been elected to that position, effective June 1, 2008.
