Dear Colleague,
The 76th Annual Meeting of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS)
promises to be enlightening, thought provoking and entertaining. The Scientific Program
and Annual Meeting Planning Committees have diligently prepared a dynamic roster
of programming and events emphasizing the 2008 Annual Meeting theme Focus on
Learning in addition to all that the city of Chicago has to offer.
The scientific program features the latest
technological innovations and scientific
advances from all areas of neurosurgery
within the practical clinics, breakfast
seminars, plenary sessions and scientific
programming. New this year, we will offer
all poster presentations in an easy to use
electronic format enabling attendees to
search by topic, title or author. We will
also continue the offerings in current
socioeconomic topics as well as provide a
special scientific session, Neurosurgery with
the Chicago Masters.
The Annual Meeting social program has
embraced the host city, Chicago, highlighting
the best the city has to offer. We will begin the meeting with our Opening
Reception at Navy Pier, the most visited
attraction in the state of Illinois. Reunite
with friends and develop new relationships
while enjoying Chicago’s wonderful food
and entertainment. Also offered this year
are two evening opportunities, Second City
and the world renowned Chicago Symphony
Orchestra in addition to daily
activities for your guests.
It is our objective to furnish you with the
finest quality learning and networking
opportunities available in an easy to reach,
great American city. We hope to see you in
Chicago, April 26 – May 1.
