The San Diego Marriott Hotel & Marina has
been designated as the Headquarters Hotel
for the 2009 AANS Annual Meeting. All the
official hotels of the 2009 AANS Annual
Meeting are
detailed here.
The AANS Housing Bureau will process
hotel reservations based on choice and
availability. All reservation requests must be
made through the AANS Housing Bureau.
Rooms will be assigned on a first-come,
first-served, space-available basis.
Support the AANS by booking your room
through the Housing Bureau at one of the
official Annual Meeting hotels. By doing this
you are helping your association in many
ways. In order for the AANS to obtain the
necessary amount of meeting and exhibit
space at the convention center and the
hotels, the AANS must commit to a
minimum number of guest rooms. If that
commitment is not fulfilled, the association
will incur significant financial penalties and
have difficulty obtaining sufficient meeting
space in the future. Unfortunately, this can
have a major impact on the member
services and programs that the association is
able to offer in the future.
The official hotels have been selected
because they are in good locations, provide a
variety of rates and have consistently shown
a high level of product and service.
The AANS will provide shuttle service at
regular intervals between the San Diego
Convention Center and official AANS
hotels, with the exception of the San Diego
Marriott Hotel & Marina, Manchester
Grand Hyatt, Hilton San Diego Bayfront,
Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Quarter, Omni
San Diego Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel and
Hotel Solamar which are within walking
distance of the convention center.
A shuttle schedule will be posted in the
lobby of each of the hotels and at the San
Diego Convention Center.
PLEASE NOTE: NO RESERVATIONS
WILL BE ACCEPTED BY TELEPHONE.
Do not send your Housing Reservation
Form to the AANS Housing Bureau via
Federal Express, UPS or Airborne. The only
overnight service that will deliver to a
P.O. box address is the U.S. Postal Service.
CUT-OFF DATE
The cut-off date for receipt of your Housing
Form is Monday, March 30, 2009. After this
date, rooms will be assigned on a first-come,
first-served, space-available basis.

To cancel or make changes to reservations,
contact the AANS Housing Bureau in
writing by fax at (800) 713-0796 (U.S.) or
(847) 759-6960 (International) or you may
e-mail your request to aans2009@cteusa.com.
Refer to the enclosed Hotel Information
Form for the cancellation policy at each
hotel. Reservation changes and cancellations
will not be accepted directly by the hotels.
