WHAT'S NEW

Plenary Session
New Plenary Session
- A fourth Plenary Session focusing exclusively on socio economic issues has been added on Thursday, May 6.

Wireless Keypads
- Wireless keypads will be used in the plenary sessions on Wednesday and Thursday in order to facilitate audience participation and feedback.

Breakfast Seminars
New format for Thursday Breakfast Seminars
-Bring your most challenging cases to discuss with experts in the areas of Lumbar Spine, Cervico- Thoracic Spine, Cerebrovascular and Tumors.

Section Sessions
-In addition to the eight Section Sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons a new session on Wednesday afternoon will be dedicated to peripheral nerve topics.

Special Lectures
- The Scientific Program Committee is pleased to announce five exceptional special lectures. The Richard C. Schneider Lecture will be delivered on Monday, May 3, by Regis W. Haid, Jr. On Tuesday, May 4, Anders Bjorklund will deliver the Van Wagenen Lecture and Ken Burns will deliver the Cushing Oration. On Wednesday, May 5, Robert F. Spetzler will deliver the Theodore Kurze Lecture, and Pasko Rakic will deliver the Hunt-Wilson Lecture. On Thursday, May 5, Uwe Reinhardt will deliver the Rhoton Family Lecture.

Posters
- 10 of the top posters will be presented electronically on large screens in the registration area.
- The top three posters in each category will be identified with special ribbons.

Young Neurosurgeons Luncheon
The Young Neurosurgeons Luncheon Session has been moved to Monday, expanded (1:00 – 2:45 p.m.) and will feature two renowned speakers.
