Welcome to the Neurosurgical Online Learning Sessions developed by the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) and the Society of Neurological Surgeons (SNS). The organizations introduced these sessions as convenient, easily accessible courses in the core cognitive curriculum of neurosurgery. Developed principally for resident education, they are also a valuable learning tool for physician assistants, nurses, or any neurosurgeon looking to review areas they might not see regularly in their practice. Each free online session runs thirty minutes. These courses are available to AANS and SNS members only.

The AANS is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The AANS designates this educational activity for a maximum of 0.5 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

After completing the online course, each participant enters an evaluation area to test his or her knowledge of what they have learned. Training program directors and neurosurgical department directors can access the results for their residents. Residents can also print report results to turn into their director. Learn More
