Course Description
This highly interactive course provides a broad review of clinical neurosurgery with an emphasis on new, changing and controversial concepts in a fast-paced, non-threatening format. Some of the clinical topics covered will include:
- cerebral tumors
- critical care
- degenerative and neoplastic spine
- pain and functional
- pediatrics
- peripheral nerve/brachial plexus
- skull base and other critical cases
- spine
- subarachnoid hemorrhage and stroke
- trauma
| There are no lectures. Audience response systems will be used for maximum participation and immediate feedback. The course affords an enjoyable review while obtaining CME for Maintenance of Certification in one weekend. |
Who Should Attend
The program is designed for any board certified neurosurgeon interested in neurosurgical updates, and will prove especially beneficial to those planning to take the neurosurgery recertification exam. Neurosurgeons in group practice who cover for their colleagues in sub-specialized neurosurgery will also benefit from attending this program. Registrants must be board certified neurosurgeons.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
- Review a broad range of clinical neurosurgery
- Review management decisions to a large number of actual neurosurgery cases
- Recognize new and changing neurosurgery concepts that may be implemented
in one's practice
- Review treatment options of neurosurgical disorders not seen in one’s own sub-specialty practice

- Prepare for neurosurgery recertification examination
