The AANS Section on the History of Neurological Surgery Annual Dinner will be held on Monday, April 24, from 6:30-9:30 p.m., at the Cicada Restaurant and Club.
Featuring Michel Zerah, PhD, head of the department of pediatric neurosurgery at the Hopital des Enfants Malades (Necker Hospital) in Paris, France, well known author and lecturer. Dr. Zerah will be discussing how neurosurgery and neurosurgeons have always occupied a special position in society. This presentation will review the evolution of this image through movies and television series from Dr. Viktor Frankenstein to Dr. Derek Shepherd.
Nestled among French marble reaching to the 30-foot ceiling, elaborate English oak trim and a custom-designed bar and lounge, diners will be immersed in the 1920s Art Deco atmosphere of the Cicada Restaurant and Club located in The Oviatt Building. The Oviatt Building is rich with Hollywood history and continues to serve as a local entertainment hot-spot playing host to various lavish events.
All attendees/guests must reserve a ticket in advance. Tickets are $150 per person.
