AANS Guidelines for Corporate Relations

The American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) is happy to provide you, the AANS membership, with the new Guidelines for Corporate Relations. The guidelines outline parameters for interactions between the AANS and Corporate Partners, and address matters related to meetings, educational offerings, special/social events, exhibits, marketing and advertising, NREF, publications and web sites.

The AANS Guidelines for Corporate Relations were written and designed to consider the interactions between AANS and its Corporate Partners and are not intended to direct how individual members make their own, personal business or professional decisions with corporations.

ACCME Corporate Logo Policy

All AANS continuing medical education (CME) activities must be in compliance with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education’s (ACCME) Commercial Support Acknowledgment Policy. All educational materials that are part of a CME activity, such as slides, abstracts and handouts, cannot contain any advertising, corporate logo, trade name or product-group message of an ACCME-defined commercial interest.

Disclosure of commercial support must never include the use of a trade name, a product-group message, or a logo of an ACCME-defined commercial interest.
