NREF

The AANS and the Neurosurgery Research and Education Foundation (NREF) offer free courses to neurosurgical residents to support advanced resident educational training in topic areas not always covered within neurosurgical residency. The Residency Program Directors/Residency Coordinators are notified of these resident course opportunities approximately 15 weeks in advance of each course and are asked to nominate one resident and one alternate from their program to attend each course, based upon specified course criteria.

Are you new to neurosurgical coding or an experienced coder looking to advance your neurosurgical coding skills?

The AANS Neurosurgical Coding One-day Seminar on Saturday, July 22, 2017 in Chicago is specifically developed to give the novice coder adequate tools to start coding their own cases and advanced coders case specific knowledge. This seminar will provide two concurrent coding sessions: one will meet the educational needs of the advanced coder and the other will be structured to benefit beginners looking to get started in neurosurgical coding.

AANS Course Proposal Form

The AANS encourages the submission of new ideas for courses and educational resources. These submissions help the AANS Education and Practice Management Committee develop courses that meet the needs of those involved in the field of neurosurgery.

Allowing a lead time of at least six months helps provide adequate time for planning and coordination. If you require additional information, please contact the AANS Department of Education and Meetings at epm@aans.org.
