scientific knowledge. Not only does the AANS Annual Meeting offer a
comprehensive and innovative scientific program addressing the most current and

The Annual Meeting provides numerous opportunities to earn valuable CME,
network with peers and view the latest innovations in the field of
neurosurgery.

practicement, and oral board preparation.

AANS Master Series Courses
Master Series courses use
state-of-the-art equipment, instrumentation and research-taught by experts in
the field of neurosurgery. Hands-on instruction, with strict, high
faculty-to-student ratios, are the cornerstone of the AANS Master Series.
Courses are taught at the Medical Education and Research Institute (MERI) in
Memphis, TN, an advanced training facility providing a unique instructional
opportunity, using fresh, unembalmed anatomical material and the latest medical
technology to present a realistic operating room environment.

Scientific AANS Journals
AANS scientific journals are celebrated for their authoritative clinical
articles, cutting-edge laboratory research papers, interesting case reports,
expert technical notes, and more! Members enjoy four journals with their
membership: Journal of Neurosurgery and Journal of Neurosurgery: Spine,
Journal of Neurosurgery: Pediatrics, (available in February 2004) and Neurosurgical
Focus, the online rapid-publication.

Self- Education
AANS has expanded its publications line to include DVDs and videotapes,
introducing spinal instrumentation as the first of the topic covered.

Continuing Medical Education (CME) Tracking
AANS makes it easy for you to track the CME vital for licensure, hospital and
faculty appointments, national and state medical organization memberships, and
even sustaining malpractice insurance. As a membership benefit, AANS records
and tracks your CME. Members can visit

to access and print out a copy of their personalized CME transcript as well as
certificates of credit from AANS-sponsored and joint-sponsored meetings.
