Abstract Submission & Information
Submissions Information
All abstracts must be submitted online through the meeting web site at www.AANS.org/wfns2009.
The online abstract center is available at www.AANS.org/wfns2009. To submit an abstract:
- First select the Abstract Center at the top of the screen.
- Next, click on the meeting for which you want to submit an abstract.
- To begin your abstract submission, click on the "create a new user account" link on the left side of the screen.
- Enter the author’s first name, last name or AANS membership ID number, if applicable, and click on search to see if current contact information appears in the database.
- If the name is found, click the select button beside the name. If you do not find the name you are looking for, click on the next button to search for more names. If the individual is not in the database choose "Click Here" at the bottom of the page to create a new contact sheet.
- Verify and complete the profile information and create your password. Your account has now been established.
- To proceed with your abstract submission, click on the "enter the submission system" link, and select New Abstract. Please follow all instructions carefully and verify that you have entered the appropriate abstract center when you are submitting the abstract. Abstracts may not exceed 250 words, and must include four areas:
Background of Study – A brief statement on the purpose of the study and the current state of research in the field.
Methods -The methods of study or experimental approach must be defined briefly.
Results – A summary of the study results, including sufficient details to support those conclusions.
Conclusion – A statement describing the significance of the work and its implications for further research.
DO NOT USE SCIENTIFIC SYMBOLS, CHARTS, GRAPHS OR TABLES IN YOUR ABSTRACT.
A confirmation of this login and password will be automatically e-mailed to the address specified on the screen. You will need your login and password to access/edit your abstract during the submission period. Please print a copy of the abstract for your records using the "Print Friendly" button on the "Review My Work" page. Once your abstract has been completed, you can choose to e-mail a confirmation of the complete summary using the e-mail tool at the bottom of the "Review My Work" page. Incomplete abstracts will not be considered for presentation.
