Spine Section Announces Call for Honor Your Mentor Fund Award Applications

The AANS/CNS Joint Section on Disorders of the Spine and Peripheral Nerves, along with the Neurosurgery Research & Education Foundation (NREF), is delighted to announce that applications for awards supported by Honor Your Mentor Funds are now open.

The deadline to submit an application is December 1, 2021.

For detailed information about these awards, visit the online Spine Section’s Fellowships and Awards page and download the award application checklist.

Send the completed application via email to Wilson Z. Ray, MD, FAANS, of the Spine Section Awards Committee, at rayz@wustl.edu.

These awards are made possible by generous donations to NREF Honor Your Mentor Funds. Each awardee receives a $2,500 grant that can be applied toward personnel, equipment, statistics and supplies.

To apply, the principal investigator must be an MD or DO within two years of having completed residency or fellowship training or currently enrolled in good standing, in an accredited neurosurgery residency program. The applicant must be a member of the AANS/CNS Section on Disorders of the Spine and Peripheral Nerves. If the applicant is a fellow or a resident, they must have a faculty sponsor from an accredited Neurosurgery program. The successful applicant will hold their primary appointment in a neurosurgery department within the United States or Canada.

Eligible members are encouraged to pursue this outstanding professional opportunity.
