This practical course will update participants on the latest developments and devices for positioning patients safely for neurosurgical procedures. Perioperative considerations and complication avoidance will be reviewed and participants will have an opportunity to gain hands-on practice.

Learning Objectives: After completing this educational activity, participants should be able to:
  • Review perioperative considerations for positioning patients for spinal and cranial neurosurgical procedures.
  • Describe the equipment needed to best position patients for neurosurgical procedures.
  • Review the proper positioning for a wide range of cranial and spinal procedures.
