Allan D. Levi, MD, PhD, FAANS, serves as chairman of neurosurgery at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, chief of the neurosurgical service at Jackson Memorial Hospital, staff scientist at the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis and is the Robert M. Buck distinguished chair in neurological surgery. His basic science research involves the transplantation of human derived Schwann and stem cells after spinal cord and peripheral nerve injury.
