Duty of Care

The health and well-being of meeting attendees, staff and vendors remains the AANS’ top priority. The AANS has added new safety features to its Duty of Care commitment. With a close eye on the latest world and local conditions, new technologies, personal safety concerns, the AANS is prepared to make adjustments as necessary.

General Care and Safety Precautions

  • The AANS will follow heath regulations put forth by the Ministry of Health of British Columbia during the 2021 AANS Annual Scientific Meeting.
  • Masks will be provided to those who do not bring their own.
  • Hand sanitizer stations will be located throughout the convention center, hotels and social event venues.
  • Appropriate social distancing practices will be observed.
  • The AANS, its official hotels, convention center and social event venues will continuously review COVID-19 cleaning protocols.

Personal Accountability Commitment

Attendees are required to abide by certain health and safety conduct guidelines while at the 2021 AANS Annual Scientific Meeting. This includes, but is not limited to, submitting to daily temperature checks, wearing a mask as all times in public areas and engaging in appropriate physical distancing. Do not attend the event if you are ill or have been recently exposed to COVID-19.
