Kenneth A. Follett, MD, PhD, FAANS, is professor and chief of the division of neurosurgery, chair of neurosurgery and program director for the neurological surgery residency training program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

Dr. Follett has clinical and research interests in pain management and functional/stereotactic neurosurgery. He is past chair of the AANS/CNS Section on Pain and has held leadership positions in national pain organizations, including the American Academy of Pain Medicine (past president) and the American Board of Pain Medicine (past president). He also served as a workgroup facilitator at the American Medical Association (AMA) Pain Summit, participated in the development of the AMA pain management monographs and was a member of the 2011 Institute of Medicine Committee on Advancing Pain Research, Education and Care that led to the development of the National Pain Strategy.
