The Neurosurgery Faculty Development course is geared toward academic neurosurgery faculty. The course is based on educational theory and is devised to bring practical, evidenced-based teaching techniques to the attendees. The course is designed to hit on common elements related to teaching in the operating room, clinics and at the bedside. The course will be composed of didactics supported by interactive learning techniques such as video review, small and large group discussion, as well as personal assessment and reflection. Faculty attending the course will leave with a variety of new teaching strategies to enhance individual and program effectiveness. Moreover, faculty will be inspired to pursue further faculty development opportunities.
