NPA Notes

  • The NeuroPoint Alliance (NPA) welcomes Martin Health System of Stuart, Fla., and UC Health Yampa Valley Medical Center of Steamboat Springs, Colo., to the Quality Outcomes Database (QOD) spine and neurovascular programs. They join over 100 existing QOD participating centers, several of which have been submitting data since 2012. As of Sept. 2018, there are over 95,000 patients enrolled in the QOD-Spine registry and over 4,500 patients enrolled in the QOD-Neurovascular registry. The NPA looks forward to their contributions to the QOD program.

  • Visit the NPA at the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) 2018 Annual Scientific meeting in Houston, at the George R. Brown Convention Center. NPA representatives will be in the exhibit hall to answer any questions about patient registry programs. Exhibit hours are Monday and Tuesday, October 8-9, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and on Wednesday, October 10, 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

  • The NeuroPoint Alliance and Your Practice course is now available online. The course offers up to 3.5 CME and benefits neurosurgeons, quality managers, clinical personnel and data coordinators by exploring the varied uses of registry data for patient care, quality improvement, research and revenue enhancement.

  • Due to popular demand, the NPA is pleased to announce the second annual full-day registry course, held on Sunday April 14, 2019, 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. in conjunction with the 2019 AANS Annual Scientific Meeting at the San Diego Convention Center. NPA initiatives will be discussed to demonstrate how your organization can benefit from participation in registries. The course is a valuable activity for neurosurgeons, quality managers, clinical personnel and data coordinators. The morning segment will focus on the varied uses of registry data for patient care, quality improvement, clinical research, education and revenue enhancement. The afternoon segment includes breakout sessions exploring these areas in detail. Current participants in the various NPA registry programs are eligible to receive a discounted registration rate for this highly informative course. Course registration opens Nov. 1, 2018.
