- Members of the Young Neurosurgeons Committee will be staffing the NREF booth (#828) at the 2019 AANS Annual Scientific Meeting in San Diego, Monday, April 15-Tuesday, April 16, to assist members with establishing social media accounts. Stop by to learn more about engaging with friends, family and colleagues via social media.
- The John C. Oakley Honor Your Mentor Fund, sponsored by the AANS/CNS Section on Pain, will be awarding $25,000 in 2019. This traveling fellowship allows a resident, fellow or faculty member to experience clinical rotations with pain neurosurgeons in the U.S. For more information and to apply for this award, please visit the Pain Section website.

- The 16th Annual Neurosurgery Charity Softball Tournament, hosted by Columbia University, is planned for Saturday, June 8, 2019, in New York City's Central Park. Proceeds benefit the Andrew T. Parsa Honor Your Mentor fund for brain tumor research through the NREF.
- The 2nd Annual Neurosurgery Charity Volleyball Tournament, hosted by UCLA, will take place Saturday, August 24, 2019, in Santa Monica, Calif. The day will include tournaments with different teams from the west coast. Proceeds from the games support research funding through the NREF.
