Neurosurgery Supports Payment for Additional Practice Expenses During Public Health Emergencies

On Nov. 11, the AANS and the CNS signed joined a coalition letter to implement and pay for CPT code 99072 immediately. On Sept. 8, the CPT Editorial Panel approved the code to be used to report the additional supplies, materials and clinical staff time included in an office visit or other non-facility service(s) when performed during a public health emergency.
