HHS Begins Distributing Phase 3 COVID-19 Provider Relief Funding
On Dec. 16, the Trump Administration announced that it completed the review of Phase 3 applications for the Provider Relief Fund program and will distribute $24.5 billion to more than 70,000 providers — a $4.5 billion increase from the $20 billion initially planned. The funding aims to help providers recoup nearly 90% of their lost revenues and net expenses caused by the pandemic. Payments began Dec. 16 and go through January 2021.
