Our medical student membership program warmly embraces aspiring neurosurgeons currently enrolled in accredited medical schools within the United States, Canada or Mexico. As a medical student member, you join a vibrant community dedicated to nurturing the future of neurosurgery and fostering academic excellence.

Through our program, medical students gain access to invaluable resources, mentorship opportunities and networking events designed to enrich their educational journey. Whether it’s staying abreast of the latest advancements in medical research or forging connections with seasoned professionals, our platform serves as a gateway to a wealth of knowledge and support.

Membership Requirements

  • Medical student currently enrolled in an accredited North American medical school
  • Application signed by your school’s dean or medical director verifying your current status and expected graduation date

Members-Only Benefits

Member Obligations

  • Pay application fee of $25 (waived if you join through an AANS Medical Student Chapter)
  • No annual dues

Apply for Membership

To join, an officer at your school’s AANS Medical Student Chapter must submit your name, e-mail address, mailing address, medical school start date and anticipated graduation date to the AANS. Follow the link below to find your local chapter and contact an officer.

If no chapter exists, you must submit a membership application. To complete your membership application, you will need:

  • Medical school start date and expected graduation date
  • Dean or medical director’s signature
  • Payment method for application fee
