The American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) and the Neurosurgery Research & Education Foundation (NREF) are pleased to announce the return of the resident course exchange with the European Association of Neurosurgical Societies (EANS).
Since 1970, the European Training Courses have traditionally provided neurosurgical education to residents through four-day courses that cover key topics. EANS courses provide learning opportunities through plenary lectures, breakout sessions and discussion groups, ensuring a high participant-to-faculty ratio. The excellence of the courses and their scientific and social value is acknowledged throughout the neurosurgical community.
The 2026 recipients have been selected. Further details for 2027 will be coming in the Fall of 2026.
Contact AANS Organization Affairs at orgaffairs@aans.org with any questions.
AANS will sponsor the cost of the EANS course and twin-room accommodation (shared space with another trainee) for selected applicants. Applicants are responsible for their airfare and proper travel documentation, including passports and visa.
