Applications Due Dec. 1 for Spine Section Honor Your Mentor Fund Awards
The AANS/CNS Joint Section on Disorders of the Spine and Peripheral Nerves is accepting applications for the following awards:
- Charles Branch Clinical Research Grant – The Branch Research Award supports impactful clinical research related to evaluating interbody fusion techniques in lumbar spondylolisthesis.
- Sanford Larson Clinical Research Grant – The Larson Research Award supports clinical research related to evaluating and/or improving diversity in surgical spine workforce.
- Edward S. Connolly Clinical Research Grant – The Connolly Research Award supports impactful clinical research related to the effects of obesity on spinal surgery outcomes.
The deadline to submit an application is December 1, 2021. These awards are made possible by generous donations to Honor Your Mentor Funds through the Neurosurgery Research & Education Foundation (NREF).
Each awardee will receive a $2,500 grant that can be applied toward personnel, equipment, statistics and supplies. Eligible members are encouraged to pursue this outstanding professional opportunity.
