Application Deadline Approaching for Branch Clinical Research Award

The Charles L. Branch, Sr. Honor Your Mentor Fund was established through the NREF to support clinical outcomes research for lumbar interbody fusion and cervical fusion using registry data. Applications for the inaugural Branch Award for Clinical Research are being accepted through the AANS/CNS Joint Section on Disorders of the Spine and Peripheral Nerves.

Deadline May 1, 2021

To apply, the principal investigator must be an MD or DO within two years of having completed residency or fellowship training or currently enrolled in good standing, in an accredited neurosurgery residency program. The applicant must be a member of the AANS/CNS Section on Disorders of the Spine and Peripheral Nerves. If the applicant is a fellow or a resident, they must have a faculty sponsor from an accredited neurosurgery program. The successful applicant will hold their primary appointment in a neurosurgery department within the United States or Canada.

The awardee will receive a $2,500 grant that can be applied toward personnel, equipment, statistics and supplies.
